How It Is Different From Therapy or Coaching

A Respectful Distinction

Different methods for different needs.

Therapy, coaching, and philosophical counselling can each be meaningful and helpful. This practice respects all three and helps you choose the kind of support that best matches your current questions.

Therapy

Typically focuses on healing psychological distress, emotional symptoms, trauma, or clinically significant mental health concerns.

Coaching

Usually focuses on goals, performance, accountability, and practical outcomes in work or life projects.

Philosophical Counselling

Focuses on questions of identity, values, meaning, responsibility, direction, and the quality of your relationship with yourself and life.

When philosophical counselling may be a good fit

You feel existentially unsettled, uncertain about decisions, disconnected from your values, or caught in recurring inner conflicts that require deeper reflection rather than immediate fixing.
